Meadowstone House
A high end residential house the incorporated large triple opening doors to maximise the north facing aspect, lake and mountains views. Extended eaves along the north façade provides shading in the summer, while allowing maximum solar gains during the winter.
The use of 2.7m studs throughout is enhanced by the use of 2.4m high doors. The Cedar cladding continues onto the eaves providing a seamless transition while the use of schist internally and externally further enhances the timber cladding and interior finishes. The sunken lounge separates the kitchen and living spaces with the large schist fireplace providing a striking feature. The wrap around deck and covered outdoor dining area provides a seamless indoor/outdoor flow. A high level of craftsmanship is evident throughout.
