Te Awhina Marae Papakainga

The Te Awhina Marae Papakāinga project includes the construction of 20 houses and a community centre next to the Marae in Motueka. It marks the result of over ten years of planning to bring Marae whānau back to communal living on the Marae.

Scott Construction was appointed as the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) main contractor in 2022. They worked with the design team on a six-month budget review focused on broader outcomes, environmental sustainability, waste reduction, and value for money.
